Alex Diel studied communication design at the FHWS Würzburg in with a focus on illustration and graphic design. He is currently working as a freelance artist, as well as in the fields of print and editorial.
In his work and drawing practice he is dedicated to exploring and understanding his own cosmos: personal subject matter, the boundaries of individual, origniary expression versus collective and pop cultural imagery and memory. Currently he is very interested in naive painting, outsider art, fantasy, folk, trash and underground.
